Barbara Klapperich Senn

Portrait of the Artist Barbara Klapperich Senn

I create bold, surreal digital montages featuring bright colors and dark trees. The emphasis on color, line, and texture is designed to evoke a particular feeling or mood.  These pieces usually start with an acrylic painting or monotype print on canvas or paper, which is scanned to digitize it, and an original digital photograph.  I then use a variety of digital tools and techniques to combine, blend, and enhance the different elements, forming something new.  This process is done on a computer, but never uses any AI in any capacity.  When shown in a gallery or sold at an event, the images are printed on metal which gives them an added sense of depth.
